Over the path months our caring community has rallied behind us and the lower income, vulnerable families and seniors we serve – responding to the need for safe housing. Support has come in many forms, providing the resources our team needed to keep pushing forward. We are grateful for your generosity and kindness. COVID-19 brought to light the existing and now growing housing crisis in our community. We still need your help. Your investment in our community’s housing needs helps to uplift us all. Your gift today gives a family or senior the opportunity to live in a safe, healthy home right here in our own community. Thank you for your consideration!
Mrs. P is 78 years old and her husband is 83 years old. Mrs. P. takes wonderful care of her husband who is struggling with Parkinson’s disease. Currently they have no hot water and need a new tank. In the past Mrs. P’s husband would have dealt with this situation, but they need assistance now. Your gift will go towards the hot water tank
Mary has 3 children. Her husband died 2 years ago after a car accident. The roof has started to leak down through the electric outlets, as well as in one of the bedrooms. The 2 children sleeping in the bedroom have been moved in with the oldest child, but this is not the best solution. Your gift will go towards the roof repair and put a smile for sure on 3 children (and mom!)
A neighbor has called on behalf of his 80+ year old friend. Mr. Z’s home needs a gas line repair. He has been without hot water for over a month. Your gift will not only give Mr. Z hot water during this challenging COVID year, but also heat in the coming winter.
Mom and dad are seeking financial assistance for a handicapped toilet for their young daughter with cerebral palsy. They will need a ramp sometime later as their daughter grows. But the upgrade to their bathroom now would really help them care for their cherished little girl. Your gift would grant that wish for their family.
